Faculty at the Conservatory in Madrid, the Aguado Marine piano duo begins their work as a duo in 1984. Their repertoire includes works from the traditional repertoire for duo piano and piano four hands (Mozart, Schubert, Mendelssohn, Schumann, Brahms, Dvorak, Grieg, Fauré, Debussy, Ravel, Rachmaninov, Reger, Stravinsky, Bartók, Hindemith, Poulenc, etc.) as well as the most contemporary scores with a focus on the music of Spanish composers. The duo has premiered works by José Luis Turina, Pilar Jurado, Rafael Cavestany, Anselmo de la Campa y Sebastián Mariné. They have performed at such prestigious venues as Teatro Real, Auditorio Nacional, Teatro Monumental, Fundación J. March, Ateneo (Madrid), la Seo de Zaragoza, Teatro Juan Bravo (Segovia), Teatro Principal (Pontevedra), Paraninfo de la Universidad y Teatro Calderón (Valladolid), Teatro Principal (Guanajuato, México), etc. The duo has performed concerts for two pianos and orchestra under conductors such as Sergiú Comissiona, Jordi Casas, Luis Aguirre, and José de Felipe among others. Their concerts have been recorded by TVE and RNE in Spain and have worked with vocal ensembles such as el Coro Nacional de España, Coro de R.T.V.E., Coro de la Comunidad de Madrid, Coro de la Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, Grupo Mozart, Coro Gaudeamus, etc. The duo has repeatedly received high praise and reviews for their performances.
